If you don’t fall into these categories, can’t stomach hot man-on-man action, or if you have no idea what the above acronyms mean, please back away from BEATS now. Nobody wants that.

For months, shy drummer Jinx Hardwick has been silently crushing on her tall, dark, and scary bandmate, Toombs Badcock. Drawn to his frightening ink and scars, she yearns to uncover the shadowy secrets lurking behind his silver eyes, but Jinx is too intimidated to even look at him, let alone talk to him. When she stumbles upon Toombs and their manipulative lead guitarist Rax in a compromising position, Jinx realizes her chances of winning Toombs’s heart aren’t just a long shot—they’re nonexistent. To make matters worse, Jinx’s family needs her at home. She’s about to back away from it all—Toombs, the band, her dreams of fame and fortune—when Rax makes her an offer she can’t refuse: a no-holds-barred night alone with Toombs. There’s one small catch. She has to go through Rax to get it.

Girl on Tour Release Day Celebration!

Girl on Tour, the highly anticipated sequel to Girl with Guitar, is AVAILABLE NOW!

at the following retailers:

An up and comer trying to make a name for herself...

KYLIE never expected to be stuck on a tour bus with a pampered princess and her boyfriend’s ex.

A troubled artist struggling to hold onto his career...

TRACE thought he was finally getting to do things his way. Until the label added co-headliner Gretchen Gibson, the only person in country music with more issues than him, to his No Apologies tour.

Surrounded by tabloid rumors and people they can't trust, Kylie and Trace need each other more than ever. But the choices they make will change everything.

Because chasing your dreams and following your heart don’t always lead you to the same place…

He pulled out her chair and she sat, watching his every move as he made his way to his own seat. “I hope this is okay. This is the most private table they have.”
“It’s perfect.” She tried to breathe normally and ignore the strange feeling in her stomach. Trace grinned, revealing the boyish dimples that framed his perfect mouth.
“They have the best steak here. Seriously. You better order one for yourself because you’re not getting any of mine.”
At that, she laughed and her nerves eased up a bit. “Oh, I bet you’d give me a bite if I asked nicely.”
He eyed her from over the top of his menu. “Do you ask for things nicely? I don’t think I’ve ever seen you do that before.”
With her stomach clenching from the heat in his stare, Kylie put her menu aside. “Maybe you’ve never had anything I wanted badly enough to ask nicely for.” He raised a brow and opened his mouth to respond. But at that same moment, a waitress appeared and asked for their drink order. Kylie didn’t miss how flustered the girl became when she got an eyeful of Trace. It would’ve been irritating, but really, with the way he looked tonight, Kylie couldn’t blame her. She was still trying to get a handle on her own self.
When the waitress left, Trace leaned across the table. “Actually, I take that back. I’ve heard you ask nicely a time or two. Matter of fact, it bordered on begging. I think it went something like, ‘Oh God, yes, please. Trace, please.’”
Heat crawled over her skin at his imitation of her. Barely keeping the grin of embarrassment from her face, she shook her head. “You’re not right. What kind of thing is that to say to a girl on a first date?” He grinned back, the promise of something dark gleaming in his eyes.
“Considering this date is going to end with that dress on my bedroom floor and your legs wrapped around my neck, I think it’s a perfectly acceptable thing to say.” Good Lord. What was she going to do with this man? Oh yeah. Exactly what he’d just described.

A Dangerous Man series by Serena Grey

Today, I've got a 2 for one special. I read both of these novellas and decided to share my review with you. These are part of a new serial, which means, short books with a lot of drama and action. These didn't disappoint, that's for sure. The third book, Claim, hasn't been released yet, but I am definitely looking forward to it. Bonus, they are only 0.99 each.

Awakening (A Dangerous Man, #1)Synopsis

His voice is hoarse. “I am going to make love to you now.” He says, “So if you want me to stop, tell me.”

I shake my head frantically. If he stops at this point, I’ll probably die.

Sophie Bennett has virtually no experience with men. Orphaned from birth, she's gone from living with her reclusive spinster aunt, to a sheltered education in boarding school. So nothing prepares her for David Preston. The intensely attractive business-man is entirely out of her league. Can she handle such a dangerous man, or is she in over her head?

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This book is definitely a quick read, I finished it in about an hour. Don't let that stop you though, it was a great book. David sweeps Sophia off her feet and the romance that follow... whew :)

I am so afraid for Sophia. She is so innocent and there is definitely something up with David. I'm afraid she is going to get her heart broken, and after all she has been through, she doesn't deserve anything but happiness.

I'm desperate to know what happens next. The second book is Rebellion (A Dangerous Man #2). The third book in the series is Claim

Synopsis Rebellion (A Dangerous Man #2)

"I wanted your innocence, your beauty,” he leans over and drops a soft kiss on the sensitive corner of my lips, “I wanted your body, Sophie, I wanted to see your face when I make you scream my name.”

David Preston came into Sophie's life and changed it in ways she could never have anticipated. Now the intensely sexy, exquisitely beautiful man is hers, or is he really?

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Obviously this is the second book in the series, hence the #2 in the title. If you haven't read the first, Awakening (A Dangerous Man, #1), you need to, this is NOT a stand alone book.

I'd probably give this book 4 1/2 stars, but I just can't seem to get past one burning question... Why did they have to get married? It's just driving me nuts. Which is why I will continue reading this addicting series. I need to know more to piece it all together. There's something up with David, I know there is, but I can't put my finger on it yet.

You can tell that Sophie is starting to realize that things aren't what she expected when she married David (well, duh, she married him after only knowing him a couple days, what did she expect?). Carole's name keeps coming up, but Sophie doesn't know who she is or how she fits into David's life.

This seems to be part of a serial, so there should be more books to least there better be :) According to her facebook page, Claim is the title of the third one.

Love, Lies, and Deception by L.P. Dover

Love, Lies, and Deception
What do you do when the one person you thought you knew turns out to be the one you knew the least?

Twenty-three year old Marissa Chase, and soon to be college graduate, has everything going for her: wonderful friends, a lucrative degree, and a chance to explore the world. What made it even better – or so she thought – was when her path crossed with the alluring Alec Holden. Unable to stay away from him, Marissa experiences a love like no other, and falls into his world of passion and intrigue. However, things begin to shift when this path takes a deadly turn.

Her trust is put to the test when hidden dangers unfold before her, revealing secrets that have been buried for years. Secrets that were meant to stay hidden. Murder, lies, and betrayal … will Marissa figure it all out in time and escape with her life intact, or will she be too late and fall into the trap of deception?

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This book combined some of my favorite things... new love, hot sex, and suspenseful action. There was no way I could put this book down, hence my need for a nap today.

After ending a long distance relationship, Marrisa is ready to have fun again. Then she literally runs into her sexy neighbor,Alec just as she is leaving for spring break with her roommate, her roommate's boyfriend, and Marissa's best friend, who happens to be male.

Needless to say, sparks fly between them when she gets home. Unfortunately, Alec has a past that he is NOT proud of. He's made a lot of changes in his life and is a totally different man. He knows he needs to tell her about it and agrees to share his past, after they have dated for a couple weeks. They get over that little hump without many issues, but something from his past does try to come between them.

There's an incident in a bar, a murdered girl, notes from a mysterious person from Alec's past, a kidnapping, and of course, the attempted rescuing of the kidnap victim. All that action made me just want to keep reading more. I couldn't put this book down and paid the price the next day, but it was well worth it.

Law of Attraction by N.M. Silber Blog Tour Stop

The Law of Attraction
Once upon a time two lawyers fell in love across a courtroom … Gabrielle Ginsberg was a public defender with plenty of nerve and Braden Pierce was an assistant district attorney with a whole lot of swagger.

Gabrielle wanted Braden and Braden wanted Gabrielle.
And Cameron wanted Gabrielle.
And Marla wanted Braden.
And Cole wanted Gabrielle.
And Mrs. Mason wanted Braden.
And an anonymous letter writer wanted to keep Gabrielle and Braden apart.

Together Gabrielle and Braden discovered many important things, like which doors at the courthouse actually locked, and that desks could be useful for more than writing. They also found out that the path of love was not always smooth, and it was sometimes trod upon by some really wacky people, like a confused fanny grabber, an eighty-two year old pothead and a gentleman who threw a wine and cheese party in his pants. Could true love overcome a lack of privacy, interference by jealous rivals and the insanity of the criminal court system?
NOTICE: This book contains explicit descriptions of sexual situations and mature language. It is intended for readers over the age of eighteen.

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I haven't laughed so much reading a book in a while. Between the court cases brought to trial, Gabrielle's family, and the interactions between Gabrielle and Braden, I was laughing out loud a lot. Think I Love Lucy comes to court.

I really just fell in love with them as a couple. They just seem to fit together well.

There isn't a Happily Ever After... I still don't know who is sending the notes... Guess I'll be watching for the next book. It's definitely one I don't want to miss and neither should you.

About the Author

Once upon a time ... N.M. Silber was a criminal defense attorney who got up each morning, donned her power suit and sensible pumps, downed a gallon of coffee and set out to "fight the good fight" while trying to not go insane. Having a dark sense of humor and a sarcastic wit helped -- a lot. Another thing that helped was reading. As escapism was the goal, she liked to read romance novels, especially really funny ones and really sexy ones. Then one day something beautiful happened -- she read one that was both funny and sexy at the same time. She hung up her power suit, put away her sensible pumps and moved her coffee mug to her computer. Now she writes funny and smutty romance novels herself and she lives happily ever after.

Bring Me Home by Cassia Leo

Bring Me Home (Shattered Hearts #3)Synopsis

The breath-taking conclusion to the New York Times and USA Today bestselling series is expected to be released August 6, 2013.

"Sometimes letting someone go is the ultimate act of love."

Claire Nixon is a college student with a past full of secrets and heartbreak. She was saved once by her first love, and rock star, Chris Knight. But when she encouraged Chris to leave town to pursue his dreams, both Claire and Chris didn’t realize it would be the biggest mistake of their lives.

After a devastating year apart and thousands of miles of distance between them, Claire met sexy surfer Adam Parker. With his awful jokes and profound patience, he helped Claire pick up the shattered pieces of her broken heart for the second time.

But now Chris has returned and he is willing and determined to make Claire’s dreams come true—the same way she did for him when she let him go.

With Adam’s former girlfriend in the picture, Claire finds herself torn between the new, passionate love she shares with Adam and the love and family she shares with Chris

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I was so excited to receive an ARC for the much anticipated final installment of this emotional series by the very talented Cassia Leo. Now, here I am, more than 2 weeks later, trying to write a review to sum up this amazing book. I have tried many times and I just can’t put what I am feeling into words. I have never had such a hard time writing a review, but no matter what I wrote, it didn't seem like it portrayed the awesomeness of this series.

The emotional roller coaster I have been on reading this series was phenomenal. I was sucked in from the beginning and couldn't put the book down until the last word was read.

I was so touched by the love that Adam and Claire shared, that I felt nothing could stop them from their Happily Ever After. That is, until Chris was introduced. He and Claire have been through so much together and deserved to be together. I found myself torn between the two men and I couldn't imagine how Claire could possibly choose.

“No one knows how to love me like you and no one knows how to hurt me like you.”
Isn’t that true of love? Those that truly love us are the ones that have the power to hurt us the most. Claire has been hurt a lot, but love has helped heal her wounds.

“I love you, babe, but don’t you ever put me through what you put me through these past three months.”
In the end, true love prevails and everyone has found true happiness in the end.

 Exclusive Excerpt:

“Tell me what you want,” I demand, pulling her two wrists into one of my hands. I lift them above her head so I can feel her body on mine without our hands in the way.

“I want…” She pauses to swallow, and I don’t know why I need her to ask for it…but I do. I need to know that this is what she wants. That I’m the one she wants. “I want to have fun, to stop worrying and feeling guilty all the time just for being alive.”

That wasn’t exactly the response I was hoping for, but beggars can’t be choosers. “And how should we go about making that happen? Specifically,” I clarify, letting my lips rest just a few inches from hers. I can feel her breath on my mouth. “Tell me what I can do to help.”

Her little pink tongue swipes her lips, coming so close to my own I can practically taste her, and I nearly come undone right then and there. “You should kiss me.” I move in closer, but only a tiny bit.

“And why would I do that?” Her voice is so low I have to lean in to hear her clearly. “Because you want to. Because I’ve been waiting for a very long time. Because you can.” Her words fill me with heat and need. I want so much more than to kiss her. But I’m not going to get greedy here and risk losing her all over again. My plan to make her jealous earlier was just a ploy to get her to admit she still wants me because I still want her. I’m pretty positive I’ll always want her. So now this has to be the best damn kiss two people ever shared in the history of kissing because I need her to want it again and again. Tension builds in my chest at the thought of finally kissing Layla Flaherty, and I’m a little afraid of screwing up her first kiss. But I owe it to her. It should’ve happened a long time ago.

“Someone’s overthinking things,” she whispers against my lips, and I twitch with anticipation and nostalgia. It’s the exact phrase I used to use on her when she’d go off in her head. She remembers. Dammit, I’m losing control. I tighten my grip on her wrists and run my nose down her cheek. I place a soft kiss on her earlobe and feel her body sag forward as her legs buckle beneath her. Using my other arm to hold her around the waist and keep her vertical, I whisper, “Here? Is this where you want me to kiss you?” Her breath comes in quick gasps, and she shakes her head no. So I let my lips skim the side of her face and holy hell, she even tastes like peaches. And I should definitely not be thinking about tasting her, but a torrent of images unleashes itself. I know I’m gripping her too hard, but she doesn’t complain. I press myself against her and place a chaste kiss on her cheek.

“Here?” I ask, doing my best to feign innocence.

“Uh uh,” she groans, and I brush my face against hers until our lips are touching.

“Here?” “Yes, please,” she says against my mouth, and I try to take it slow, I really do. But when her lips part, opening her to me, I’m done being gentle. My tongue sweeps inside, desperate for hers. She’s tentative at first. Barely skimming her tongue against mine with sweet little licks. But I press harder and she matches me. Layla lets her teeth graze my lower lip and I groan. I release her wrists and she wraps her arms around my neck, raking her hands into my hair. Keeping my hand out from under her short dress is an exercise in torture. My body aches for release, but this is her first kiss. We have to stop here. For now. Giveaway

Trying Not To Love You by Megan Smith Blog Tour Stop

I'm back from vacation and am so excited to be a part of Megan Smith's Easy to Love You Blog Tour! After reading Trying Not to Love You, I couldn't wait for this book to be released.

Easy To Love You (Love, #2)
Hunter finally has MacKenzie Cahill, the girl of his dreams. A horrible accident finds those dreams threatened. As their lives change, secrets begin to surface. These revelations could prove to be either the downfall of Hunter and MacKenzie or the catalyst that strengthens their bond.

Hunter has painful choices to make. Will he realize what he has before it’s gone? He knows what he must do to save his future, but will he be leaving everyone else in his past?

Will the bond between the two families be strong enough to keep them together?

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This book picks up exactly where Trying Not to Love You leaves off and to make it more emotional, we see it from Hunter's point of view. More than once, I was grabbing a tissue while reading the opening chapters of this captivating book. I felt so connected to the characters right from the beginning.
As soon as I heard the words, I dropped the phone, threw open the truck door and took off down the ramp on foot. If it was her I would be able to see from where I was.
There were fire trucks, cop cars and ambulances everywhere. I saw two cars, one was smashed into the guard rail and the other was facing the wrong direction on the highway. Neither car was CC’s. There was an EMT walking back to the ambulance so I jogged over to him.
"Excuse me sir, are these the only two cars that were involved?" I asked slightly out of breath.
He kept walking, so I followed him. "Please sir, my fiancĂ© never showed for her doctor’s appointment."
That finally got his attention. He grabbed a bag from the back and slung it over his shoulder before finally acknowledged me. "Does she drive a White Mazda 3?"
I squeezed my eyes shut and swallowed down the lump in my throat. Then I nodded. "Her car rolled down the embankment. She’s still alive, but we need to get her to the hospital as soon as possible. They’re landing a helicopter on the golf course and taking her to Cooper Hospital. That’s all I can tell you." He hustled back towards the embankment.
I was frozen. I couldn’t move, couldn’t breathe. I stood there until the sound of a helicopter taking flight brought me back to the horrifying situation. I looked around; there was no way I could get out of here with all this traffic. I ran back to my truck. I was getting to CC one way or another. I would push a car out of my way if I had to.
After reading that, how could you not want to find out what happened? I couldn't imagine being in Hunter's shoes. He may very well become a single father today.

Once she recovers, the secrets start coming out. MacKenzie has been kept in the dark about so many things. She goes has a lot to deal with, unfortunately she shuts out those that love her, including Hunter, in the process.

Will their relationship survive? You'll just have to read to find out.
