Synopsis: Gabby Morgan isn’t looking for love. Not even a little romance. Following a rocky past that she’d just as soon forget, she’s determined to focus on the future. One that most certainly doesn’t involve the tough-as-nails, short-on-words, hot-as-hell biker…or his kid.

Blake Mahone may not be done with women, but he’s finished with relationships. Then Gabby Morgan enters the picture. She’s flawless, refined, and as his kid’s teacher, way out of his league. She acts like she hates him, but her eyes tell a different story. Before he knows it, Blake finds himself hot for teacher, and he’s more than ready to learn all her secrets. Now all he has to do is convince her to give him a shot…without getting them both killed in the process.

This is a good start to another series by the very talented J.C. Valentine. This book caught my eye because Gabby is an elementary teacher like me and who doesn't fantasize about the ultimate biker?

An MC book comes with certain expectations from me. I expect the members to be bad boys, maybe not violent or dangerous, but I expect some shenanigans. Blake has worked hard to clean up his club, running it on the right side of the law for the last 10 years.  They didn't cross that line until they were pushed to do so to protect one of their own.

I really enjoyed Gabby and Blake's story although Gabby went from seeming to be pretty innocent to having some pretty big secrets rather quickly. I did have some trouble connecting to the characters, I just didn't quite feel their love like I come to expect from this author. It didn't stop me from enjoying the story though. I knew Gabby was hiding something. Blake's club  had a potential threat lurking around the corner. Those things kept me reading.

I was introduced to several club members that I can't wait to read more about. You really got the feeling they were a tight family. Although this book ended with a HEA for Gabby and Blake, there is still some unresolved issues that need to be dealt with.

I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a good story. I plan to read the next one in the series as soon as I can get my hands on it.
