Series: Cold Fury Hockey #2
Author: Sawyer Bennett
Release Date: February 17, 2015
New York Times bestselling author Sawyer Bennett hits the ice with the story of a playboy athlete whose winning ways lead him to a beautiful woman with a lot to lose.
Carolina Cold Fury star Garrett Samuelson never wants to miss out on a single minute of fun. Whether he’s playing hockey, hanging out with friends, or walking the red carpet with a new date on his arm, he lives every day to the fullest. When he meets Olivia Case, he sees someone who’s exactly his type—confident, sexy, smart . . . his next fling. But the more he pursues her, the more Garrett shares a side of himself that other women don’t normally get to see.
I remember Garrett from the first book in the series, Alex. I just knew he would find a woman who would make him change his man-whore ways.
Olivia isn't interested in Garrett for anything but a chance to forget. Forget the very thing that has turned her life upside down. This is just the type of relationship Garrett is known for, so it should work. Right?
I really like Olivia. She's being forced to deal with some incredible circumstances, but she does it was such courage and such a positive attitude. She can be an inspiration to woman suffering a health crisis everywhere.
Garrett is just the sweetest man out there. He's there to support Olivia every chance he can. He's willing to stand beside her through this entire health scare.
This story was kind of difficult to read. It makes me think about my own mortality and how those around me would be affected if something were to happen to me. Although those thoughts can be consuming, you need to continue living for today. A lesson we can take from this book.
I highly recommend this series to anyone who enjoys romance and sports books. I know I can't wait to get my hands on the next book in this series.
New York Times bestselling author Sawyer Bennett is a snarky Southern woman and reformed trial lawyer who decided to finally start putting on paper all of the stories that were floating in her head. Her husband works for a Fortune 100 company that lets him fly all over the world while she stays at home with their daughter and three big, furry dogs who hog the bed. Bennett would like to report that she doesn’t have many weaknesses but can be bribed with a nominal amount of milk chocolate.
