First thing you need to know when you read this book is that Dylan is a GIRL. It took me a little while to get used to that. When I did, though, I realized that I loved that name.

Dylan and Ben grew up together. Ben was best friends with one of her 4 brothers. His home life sucked, so he spent a lot of time with the Mathews family. Linda, Dylan's mother, treated him like one of her. And Ben referred to all guys as his brothers. However, he didn't love Dylan like a sister, she was more than that to him. . He respected the family too much to do that. He truly felt like he didn't deserve to be with her. Every night he could, he would sneak into her room to lay with her, but he refused to cross that line no matter how much he wanted to. He loved her enough to leave her alone.

Now, 5 years after he moved away to go to school, he's back to visit for the holidays. How long can he deny himself? How long will it take to make him realize he is hurting Dylan? Will his family be able to accept their relationship?

This book brought me to tears more than once. Ben's struggles just broke my heart (although he did need slapped a couple times too). He needed to feel worthy of Dylan's love - heck - anyone's love for that matter. Waiting for him to realize this was quite an emotional roller coaster ride.

Sometimes fate strikes in unexpected ways.
Lucy Dalton was tired of living a life she didn't want.
Charlie Mathews was living the life he always wanted.
But one night, fate changes the course of their lives forever. A year later, Lucy and Charlie's paths meet again, igniting a spark that neither can deny.
Lucy knows he doesn't remember her, but she's already in too deep.
Charlie knows the unwritten family rule: Mathews men never admit when they're broken.
Can they leave the past where it belongs and find a way to look beyond the orange moon?

I absolutely loved book one in this series, Under the Orange Moon, but I enjoyed this one even more. It's a story about letting go of the past, healing, and learning to trust someone enough to love them completely. It can easily be read as a stand alone, but why would you want to miss out on the awesomeness of Under the Orange Moon?

You could practically feel the chemistry between Charlie and Lucy. They met during the prologue (a rather devastating scene to read). But both of them have had events in their past that has lead them to be alone. They become friends first, then develop into more as they support each other in their healing.

I loved this book from the very first word until the end. It pulled such a wide variety of emotions from me I just couldn't put it down. It's one of those books that will stick with you and you will want to read again and again.

Adrienne Frances works in the writing department at a university near her home. In her spare time, she loves to be with her husband and two sons, who have made her exactly who she is today. Writing is a passion that she has appreciated for as long as she can remember. She believes that a wild imagination is a terrible thing to waste and should be captured and brought to life by all who are blessed to have one. This way of thought, as well as her love for the written word, is what led her to become an author.
