What do you do when being with the man you love is forbidden? You hide it.
Our relationship is secret, because he is my teacher.
For the next six months I have to pretend he is nothing more.
We sneak around like we are ashamed of how we feel.
We steal kisses or the touch of a hand when nobody is watching.
The problem is, somebody is always watching
And when things go wrong, they have the potential to ruin everything.
The Hot for Teacher Anthology had the prequel to this book. Once I read that, I knew I needed to read the full novel. It is a stand alone that can absolutely be enjoyed as it is, however, I would highly recommend reading the prequel before you read this. I really feel like I was more connected to the characters by understanding how they met in the first place. You get the entire picture eventually in this book, but I think not knowing how things started would have tainted my opinion of their relationship.
Jill may only be 17 years old, but she is much more mature than most girls her age. Because her dad is away serving our country most of the time, it's just her and her mom. Unfortunately, her mom works a lot of shifts as a nurse so Jill has had to be responsible for herself quite a bit.
She and Eli originally are introduced through a website. Her lies about her age keep the relationship growing. Then through a sudden twist of fate, he comes to her hometown and things just snowballed from there.
I quickly got into this book and had trouble putting it down for long. The roller coaster ride of emotions the characters went through kept me coming back for more. If you enjoy forbidden type relationship books, then you will really enjoy this one.
