~MY REVIEW~
What a powerful and emotional book. I'm really having a tough time putting my thoughts for this amazing book down on paper.  Especially without giving too much away.

This book focuses on 2 women, one who is giving their child up for adoption and one who is about to become a mother. As I read, my emotions kept going from elation for one to heartache for the other. The chapters would go between both women as well as between present and past events. All of which have been blended perfectly.

Both women have suffered violent acts, which you will read about, so be prepared. Although horrific, they are vital parts of the story. Carly was brutally attacked while in college, which took away more than just her innocence. In the process, she meets Kyle. A wonderful, supportive man who would move mountains for her if he could.

Tabby was in an abusive relationships, which she was finally able to escape from. Once she starts to get her life back, one mistake takes away the love of her life. After he left, she found out she was pregnant. Knowing she wasn't able to raise the child in a way she felt her child deserved, she decided to give it up for adoption. She chose Carly and her husband, Kyle. Saying goodbye to her daughter becomes the hardest thing she has decided to do, will she be able to do it?

The ending, when Tabby must make her final choice, was the hardest to read. The emotions on both sides were so high. One about to be given the greatest gift anyone could possibly give anyone, the other about to give her heart away. Her words really makes you think about how hard it must be to give your child away. I can't imagine having to make that decision and know that you will never see him/her again. My heart just broke for her.

OHHHHH! And then there is the twist as the VERY last word. Something that can change everything. I can't wait for the next one, Tabitha's story, which is expected in early 2014.
